Description

The house is part of the elegant residential area of Klíše. One basic shape of the house is a cube. The top floor is shortened on the south side, creating a roof terrace for the south side. The main entrance is located on the north side. On the east side, a smaller semicircular building with the garage in the basement is placed in front of the cube. The long balcony on the west side represents a very nice element of this house. The rounding on the southwest corner is repeated on the ground floor (picture 1).

History

Most probably the plans for this villa date from 1930, the house was built in 1932. Since the owner was Jewish, his house may have been confiscated by the Nazis. In any case, with the beginning of communist rule in 1948, the house was used as a day nursery and then as a workers' accommodation, worsening the condition of the house. In 1995 a pharmacy moved into the building and the gradual reconstruction of the house began.
