Hans Hertlein began working for Siemens in 1912. During his career, he played a significant role in shaping the company's industrial and administrative architecture. His work also included the design of utility and service buildings, which were often integrated into or closely associated with industrial facilities.
After World War II he lectured at the Berlin Technical University.
