Description

The School of Labour was basiclly a Adult Education Centre (Volkshochschulheim). It served as a home for single people and an educational institution. Two storeys are visible on the side facing the street, and three storeys on the side facing the forest. The cubic structure has a flat roof. It was planned to use it as a sun terrace, but due to financial problems it was not realised. The different windows on the ground floor result from the different uses of the rooms. The windows on the first floor are all of a same or similar size. The ground floor facing the street was built without windows. Behind this part were put the classrooms. The aim was to construct them as soundproofed as possible.
