Aug. 26, 1970 in Prague (Praha), Czechia

He initially worked on stage designs, mostly for operas by Bedřich Smetana. In the field of architecture, he attracted attention because he published an article in the magazine Časopis československých architektů in which he proposed spatial changes for the Sokol gyms by introducing reinforced concrete. In addition, he became better known by winning all the competitions for the Spořilov Garden City in Prague together with Vlastimil Brožek. This was also followed by the joint debate on typifications of flats. Later, he frequently collaborated with Jan Mentberger, with whom he built many Prague apartment buildings.
