His major works can be found in Gżira. Some of those buildings were destroyed in World War II. He specialized in reforced concrete. Furthermore Colombo teached as the main professor for architecture at the University of Malta (L-Università ta' Malta).
The residential building at the street Trip d'Argens 316 was completely rebuilt and the original shapes are hardly to recognize.
