Gedeon Gerlóczy

Gedeon Gerlóczy was a awarded architect in Budapest from the 1930s until the 1960s. He studied architecture in Budapest and gained experiences abroad, e. g. in Germany.

At the beginning of the 1930s, he increasingly adopted the ideas of International Modernism and created besides conservative also very interesting buildings, especially up to the time of World War II. With some official buildings he gained faim, e. g. the Trauma Hospital of the State Insurance Agency.

After World War II he was was a teacher at the College of Fine Arts, and from 1950 to 1961 he worked at the Industrial Building Design Company.
