Next to Möhlau is Zschornewitz. At the beginning of the 20th century there was built a huge lignite power plant for electricity generation. A workers' settlement for this works was built in Zschornewitz in 1915, which is now a listed building. The construction office of this settlement took over the planning of the single persons home in Möhlau.
