Wrocław

city

Wrocław and the Wrocław State Academy of Arts and Crafts were a central place for the emergence of an early Modernism. The work of famous architects, such as Hans Poelzig, Adolf Rading or Hans Scharoun, as professors at the academy left a direct influence on the cityscape of Wrocław. Buildings by other architects have been preserved in the city despite heavy destruction during the World War II.
