Philipp Fürchtegott Reemtsma decided for the company, that all cigarettes of the same brand have to taste always the same. A big successm, that made the well known Reemtsma family the largest tabacco company in Germany back than. In 1923 he moved to Hamburg and in 1930 he gave the many money for the huge villa, one of Germany's most expensive private homes of the 1930s.
During World War II he was in close contact with the Nazi regime, but at the end he was able to continue with the company at the end of the 1940s.
