Julie Gertruda was born as Kohn or Czech Kohnová and studied at the School of Applied Arts (Kunstgewerbeschule) in Vienna. The contacts to Vienna probably influenced the choice of the architect Josef Hahn for her own villa in České Budějovice. Like her husband Josef Weisskopfand their two sons Jiří and Petr, she was deported by the Nazis and murdered in the Izbica ghetto.
