William Moser Jr.

William Mooser Jr. was an American architect based in San Francisco, USA. He received his architectural education at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he studied from 1911 until about 1921, returning to the United States after completing his training. Early in his career he worked within the family firm, known as Mooser and Son, Architects. Around 1940 he held the position of Assistant Director in the Work Projects Administration’s San Francisco District Office, reflecting his involvement in public works during the New Deal era. By 1942 he had established his own office, William Mooser, Jr., Architect. Later, in 1948, he served as President, Architect, and Manager of Construction for the Community Cooperative Development Corporation. Toward the end of his life he was active in the homebuilding business in partnership with another builder.

He is the father of William L. Mooser. William Mooser Jr. died of lung cancer in 1969.
