Reuf Kafić is considered together with his brother Muhamed Kadić the pioneer of modern architecture in Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
He studied in Prague between 1927 and 1930. This brought him into contact with the new trends in architecture very quickly, mainly the forms of classical modernism. He returned to Yugoslavia with this wealth of knowledge.
Together with his brother he openend a studio in Sarajevo in 1940. In 1942 they moved to Dubrovnik, but we do not know why.
After the end of World War II he remained very active in architecture.
