Pál Ligeti first studied painting and then architecture. 1911 is the year in which he opened his own architecture studio. He began working with Farkas Molnár at an early stage. He was also theoretically concerned with the development of contemporary architecture and art. He used this knowledge for lectures in Hungary and abroad. He thus became one of the Hungarian networkers for modern architecture. His father's original surname was Löwy, marking clearly Pál Ligeti's Jewish origins.
