Károly Weichinger completed his architectural studies in 1920. He then worked in the architecture department of the Budapest School of Arts and Crafts until 1944. At the same time, he designed residential buildings and churches. He planned urban reorganisations for the cities Pécs and Győr. He also worked as an interior designer, published specialised literature and worked as a consultant.From 1946 to 1969 he was employed at the city planning office of the capital Budapest.
