In Germany, Berlin is certainly the city with the most buildings of the international style. Berlin was the capital of the Weimar Republic, which saw itself as democratic and should therefore also be an architectural statement. The last location of the Bauhaus school before the Nazis came to power was in Berlin until 1933.
