Unfortunatly we do not find many information about the train station in Trenčín, even if it is part of one of Slovakia's main railway track Bratislava-Žilina. It is mentioned, that the station was built between 1939 and 1943. So most probably the construction started earlier.
The previous building from 1883 stands not far away in the park. The railway line was relocated for the new station.
As the train station in the nearby spa Trenčianske Teplice was opened in 1941, it could be a relation between the both stations. Maybe the Trenčín station was built by the same architect? Some details, like the canopy above the entrance are similar.
