The station has two tracks, served by platforms connected by an underpass. The station features a medium-sized passenger building designed by Marcello Canino. The architectural style mimics ancient Roman houses, with columns and porticos, as well as the classic Pompeian red paint. The building has two levels: the lower level houses traveler services, including a waiting room with a ticket office, a bar-newspaper stand, and a tourist information desk; the upper level hosts the Circumvesuviana offices.

History
The station was inaugurated in 1932 with the railway section that connected Torre Annunziata to Castellammare di Stabia. In 2009, work began on doubling the track from the station towards Castellammare di Stabia, as by 2015, the double track ends at the facility.
