The house bears typical features when compared with other houses by the architect Rubens. These include the small semi-circular balconies on the far left. The zoning of the facades with windows and long balconies are also part of this. The long balconies end in a semi-circle in front of the narrow corner to great effect. Their light appearance is emphasised by the metal railing.
The balconies, their shapes and railings can be primarily associated with the International Modernism. The pure building form is more in keeping with the architecture of the 1910s.

That house was built in 1935 as the big house or Palace of Afon Afias. He was most probably the developer of this building. Nowadays it is used as a hotel.
