The building is located on Trenčín's main square. The rest of the buildings are in the region's typical baroque and classicist style. Although the savings bank building looks completely different and is heigher, it is not completely out of the ordinary. From today's perspective, it might be possible to say, that it adds to the charm.
According to the plans in 1934, the building had to be shortened by one storey so as not to restrict the view towards the castle and parish church from the square. That resulted in this building with four storeys and a recessed fifth storey. The charm of the building is further enhanced by the slightly curved facade on Farská Street. We assume that the previous house was also slightly curved along the street.
The ground floor and window reveals are clad in travertine for aesthetic enhancement. A cinema is inserted in the basement, as it was at the time of the opening. The rooms above were once used by the bank. Between the entrances were and are rooms for shops. The upper floors are designed as flats. With its diverse uses, the building is a typical representative of early modernist buildings.
