Szeged's modernist gem

Description

In summer it is not easy to take a good picture of the house. But trees are important. Maybe next time we will be in Szeged in winter.

There was a first design with a roof terrace, pergolas and front garden, which was not approved. This design therefore appears to follow the second design.

Constructed as a frame structure, probably made of steel. This allowed for the large window areas, which illuminate the rooms in the best possible way.

The building appears interesting due to the dissolution of symmetry. There are two rows of windows on the left-hand side, then the door with the balcony and another row of windows on the right-hand side.

Industrial architecture, e.g. as a factory design, influenced the house's style. The house originally served as a single family house. Today, three flats have been added. It is also conceivable that the area to the right of the door has always been a separate, smaller flat.

Examinations of the house revealed that the bottom layer of paint on the facade was light yellow.
