Tomislav Premerl wrote in the book Hrvatska moderna arhitektura između dva rata (Croatian Modern Architecture Between the Two World Wars) that the building already represents a fully developed scheme for houses at street intersections.
This may refer to the fact that, alongside the horizontally oriented section, there stands a striking cubic volume containing only windows and rising one full storey higher than the rest of the building. In addition, the corner section is designed as a rounded form with balconies. The top floor of this rounded section is conceived as a narrow balcony.
