Gospodar Jevremova 48 (1936)

The house was built by the Yugoslavian Minister of Finance Dušan Đorđević. Although we were unable to find out, it could be assumed that he lived in this house with his family. This is supported by the fact that there is only one flat on each floor. Smaller flats were more common in Belgrade at the time. A certain level of wealth can be assumed behind this.The architect Vladeta Maksimović designed for him a house with large corner windows. The vertical ribbon window of the staircase is also a quote from classical modernism. There used to be a window next to the entrance door, which was bricked up. 

This apartment house built in 1936 is one of Maksimović's works. It is considered one of his first works and one of his few from the interwar period. The house was extensively renovated shortly after 2020.
